VOTE HER OUT!!!
I live in Calhoun and just before the Hardin parade day, one of Demuzio's thugs, stapled one of her "campaign" signs to the "Welcome to Hardin" sign as you come into town. Sending a message " I own these people" . If we were to do anything like that or any other politician, it would be considered, "DEFACING PUBLIC PROPERTY"!!!!! So why can she get by with this??? Because we have let her and her family get by with raping us for too long!! Many of us are having to tighten our belts, drive 2 hours across the river to keep a job or just lose our homes, while she voted to give herself a raise and all of her immediate family has a state job with benefits. Are they so far removed from reality they cannot see what is really happening???? She will do or say anything to keep her job, after all her families jobs are probably depending on it too. WHEN IN DOUBT VOT'EM ALL OUT!!!!!!

SPRINGFIELD – Jim Tobin, President of National Taxpayers United of Illinois (NTUI), named State Senator Deanna Demuzio the “Tax Villain of the Month” at a press conference yesterday in Springfield, the Senators’ district. Tobin distributed “wanted flyers” for the tax villain that summarized how Demuzio earned the designation.

Among other “crimes against taxpayers,” Demuzio voted to increase state personal income taxes 67% and raise the state corporate income tax 33%, from 7.3 to 9.7%. She also voted herself a pay raise.
Analysis of Illinois revenues for the first eight months of fiscal year 2010 shows an increase of $7.5 billion from the same period in FY2009. Comparing the same eight months against a healthier FY2008, revenues are still up $5.3 billion, or 13%.
Tobin asked, “Whose income has gone up 13% over the past 2 years and demands more money? Only Tax Villains like Illinois Governor Pat Quinn and State Senator Deanna Demuzio, along with tax-raising allies like the Civic Federation.”
“All the talk about raising taxes is being sold under the guise of digging Illinois out of a ‘budget crisis.’ But what they won’t tell you is that total Illinois state revenue has risen every year since we first started tracking it in 2003.”
Quinn’s alleged “budget crisis” is caused by outrageous government spending, only the worst of which is the lavish, gold-plated benefits paid to retired government employees, including downstate and suburban public school teachers and administrators.”

Overview
The following tables show how legislators voted on two income tax hike bills, House Bill 174 and Senate Bill
2252. On May 30, 2009, the Illinois Senate passed a bill to raise the income tax for individuals, trusts, and
estates from 3% to 5%. That's a 67% income tax increase! The bill would also raise the corporate income
tax rate from 7.3% to 9.7%, which will prevent the creation of at least 70,000 jobs. What legislators won't
say is that these tax increases will fund the lavish, gold-plated pensions of government employees.

How you can help
Contact your state representative and state senator and tell them to OPPOSE raising the state income tax
and instead INCREASE the amount government employees contribute to their pensions. If you don't know
who your legislators are, you can find out by calling the Illinois General Assembly at (217) 782-4141 or
(312) 814-6440. You can also visit ILGA.gov and use the Legislator Lookup tool to search by district,
address, name, or zipcode.

Demuzio ads too little, too late

I'm writing in response to a radio ad Senator Deanna Demuzio is airing. The ad states she is returning a month's salary to the state. Sorry Deanna - the return of one month's salary to the State of Illinois is way too little, too late!
Senator Demuzio voted with Rob Blagojevich the entire time he was in office and even voted to give Gov. Blagojevich a pay raise knowing he was under federal investigation. Senator Demuzio voted to expand legislator health care benefits by eleven million dollars per year. Senator Demuzio voted for the largest Tax Increase in the history of Illinois - a 67% tax hike on Illinois families and employers - thank goodness, this did NOT pass. Why would we continue to send someone to Springfield, who votes to give herself a pay raise one year and then the next year votes for the largest tax increase ever to pay for it?
Illinois is not a family enterprise for self dealing - we must stop the Chicago style politics for the few and get back to representing the people of the great State of Illinois.
Senator Demuzio's fingerprints are all over the fall of the State of Illinois - it's time to end the Demuzio reign. Deanna, keep your one month's salary -- we do not want it!

Brad Demuzio gets a vote of no confidence!!!
As of more than 2 weeks ago Brad Demuzio, son of Senator Deanna Demuzio recieved a no confidence vote by his fellow officers as head of the Secretary of Police.
